The raffle was held in our private hall after Saturday’s luncheon (which was brought down into an adjoining room for us to either eat there of take outside onto the enclosed patio area in the sunshine.
People had been so very generous in donating items and Janet had already decided that the proceeds would be going to add onto the 2015 Forthworth Sasha Festival in Texas children’s charity fund auction
The main prize was this attractively dressed and customised Sailor lad by Janet whilst Lorraine very kindly made up an accompanying wardrobe. He was delightedly won by Theresa O’Neill.
Many thanks to all those for their very kind donations which bought in the magnificent total of £624 and this will be doubled by the Texas Festival sponsors to £1,248.
I must say again just how generous so many of the ticket winners were having won a couple of the items themselves they then gave their winning numbers up to those who hadn’t won anything as yet. I think that everyone went home with at least two raffle gifts.
My Sasha Brood are lucky enough not to want for much so having passed my winning number on to Dollmum’s daughter Petrana then gave up one of hers to me and chose the gift of the Chanel perfume to give to me. How lucky was I as I like to think of myself as a Chanel girl but, due to my Sasha Collecting and helping my daughter with her major roof and house repairs Ican’t always afford it! Many, many thanks again Petrana!
The next set of photos are of the doll groups positioned on the window sills although I’m afraid that some of them aren’t as clear as I would have liked them to have been having to be taken against the natural light.
This last group of photos are of the final activity, the dolls BBQ, cleverly thought of and set up by Theresa O’Neill. It was rather crowded with people and cameras and dollie goodbyes as everyone prepared to take their dolls and leave for home but I hopefully managed to move along the line at doll level and then come backwards standing upright to make sure that I got the dolls standing at the back….though unfortunately it looks as though they weren’t ALL here some having obviously been already packed away for the homeward journey.
Now just have to do the workshops and my ‘goodies’ posts.
